Expanding the Network Across Washington State 

SAgE partner programs are located in Clallam, King, Skagit, and Snohomish counties of Western Washington and in Whitman County of Eastern Washington. As a result, education and training programs teach sustainable agriculture-related natural and social sciences in the context of distinct biophysical and socioeconomic attributes that typify life to the west and east of the Cascade mountain range.

Moreover, this bioregional distinction is couched in a place-based educational approach that strives to improve academic outcomes through increased student and educator interaction and local community engagement. Such a framework, coupled with the inter-institutional collaboration sustained within and across bioregions, facilitates a rich and dynamic learning environment among all programs.
